REGISTER MARITIME

Our main activity is the Maritime Registering of boats and the setting up of companies in the Madeira Free Trade Zone conducted by one partner, our company based in Madeira, Maritime World Yachting Management. Lda. which manages all legal, fiscal and accounting aspects of all vessels and / or our customers’ companies. This is done by highly skilled professionals, ensuring you obtain all the tax advantages that the Maritime Registry in the Free Zone of Madeira entails, and your protection and peace-of-mind with regard to the authorities of any European country.

Today, the MAR Register from Madeira, besides being in the White List, is listed as one of the best maritime registers in the world. Being also a European Community country, you can cruise without restriction through all Community waters.

On the other hand, our company headquartered in Spain, Maritime World Yachting Spanish, is in direct contact with the owner and captain, wherever the boat might be moored, providing periodic visits, whether accompanying technical engineers of the classification company, and any management support necessary for the proper functioning of the ship in any port in Europe, be it supply of fuel, crew, charter contracts, etc. These services are carried out from our headquarters in Spain.

YACHTS FOR SALE / CHARTER

The vast majority of the used boats we have on our hands for sale, have been classified by us as "COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY" with the enormous tax benefits that entails. Above and beyond the competitive purchase price and the subsequent costs for running the boat, please also take into consideration our technical support and management services at any port in Europe, based on our experience as agents of the Maritime Registry in the Free Zone of Madeira.

As in the case of yacht purchase, contracts of charter vessels classified for "commercial activity" are similarly exempt from VAT on both the charter agreement, as in diesel refuelling and mooring in commercial ports. This makes the cost of leasing these boats much more competitive than that of recreational yachts.

COMPANY

Our Director General is Mr. Antonio Correia. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the field of pleasure yachts, a knowledge of all companies in the sector, whether manufacturers, ports or maritime authorities throughout the Mediterranean.

A pioneer along with the classification company RINAVE of the first yacht classified as "commercial vessel" in the year 1998, which, working together, made possible the creation of a new record in Madeira, for this type of boat. Over time, this type of record has been improved, simplifying things for the owner, and bringing about less technical and legal problems using the term "commercial activity", dropping the term "yacht" because of confusion with those classified as recreational yachts which do not enjoy the same kind of economic and tax incentives, such as the exemption of VAT on the purchase of the boat, fuel, mooring in marinas, spare parts, etc.

Thanks to the expertise as a boat builder, the relationship with the engineers of the companies that give the Maritime Registry classification, goes far beyond a business relationship, able to defend the owner in all technical issues raised by engineers, often providing alternatives more beneficial to the owner than those proposed by the classification company and always complying fully with the Registry’s legal requirements.

We can say today that thanks to the excellent relations of our Director General with the various authorities, we are the only company that guarantees exemption from VAT in all diesel refuelling of all boats registered by us for "Commercial Activity" in Balearic Islands.
